Whats the best way to use Yahoo Answers for Internet Marketing purposes?
I am very new to yahoo answers, I’ve stopped by a few times but was very confused. I have heard of many Internet marketers using Yahoo answers to get targeted traffic to their offers. I have taken a look around and it seems like that would be Impossible to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated

YOU DON”T.
It is against the rules to use Answers for driving traffic to your site, blog, domain, business etc. Trying to do so will lead to your content being deleted and your account suspended.
Answers is for real people to ask real questions, and give real answers from personal experience or knowledge. IF you want to get business from here, you are supposed to pay to advertise.
There ARE people who try to get “targetted traffic” by giving answers and putting their links into them, but we call them SPAMMERS. They only get away with it for a short while.
(a) Yahoon Answers does not do backlinks
(b) spamming gets reported and deleted.
(c) “solicitation” (spamming for referral or click-ads sites) also gets reported and deleted.
All you ARE allowed to is mention your business or site in the About Me section of your Profile, and hope that people look it up if you give genuinely good answers. If your answer is an actual quote from your site, you may also put a link to the site in the Sources box. The link must go to the page the quote is from, not the home page or a sales page.
If several accounts are doing this for the same site, it will be considered spam and treated accordingly.
There are various filters in place against spam, and dedicated groups of users who hunt down what the filters miss.

I have attended an internet marketing for S$400 and realise the materials given are gathered from Internet?
After attending the course and run through the IM websites for weeks and realised the materials are piss together from IM websites which are so general.

Unfortunately, that is always the case — unless you are attending one of the leading conventions or seminars with the top tier in the industry as panelists. Even if you buy ebooks and some of these online courses — they are mere rehash of what you will read on the Internet. Many are simply taken from conversations of the pros in forums such as WebmasterWorld http://www.webmasterworld.com
It’s a rip off — so you really need to investigate the seminar as to who will speak, what credentials do they have, what’s the outline of the seminar so you will know if there are any new things that will be discussed in there.
Otherwise, simply use these opportunities for networking. Although $400 is a steep price to pay to network

Depends on your goals. Sites like Y! Answers help to demonstrate your authority on specific subjects. In general, that’s better for individuals than companies. So if part of your marketing goals are to connect with individuals and help solve their problems, then it will be a great resource. If your looking to use it to marketing your brand, product or services, then will likely not be worth the effort.
